ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
“Just like moons and like suns, with the certainty of tides. Just like hopes springing high, still I’ll rise.” – Maya Angelou
My journey to becoming a clinician began during my time as a collegiate student-athlete. It was through this opportunity that I recognized the importance of the mind-body connection and viewing health through a holistic lens. From there I spent time as a researcher studying the relationships between physical and mental health as well as health behavior change. This unique experience instilled a passion for exploring therapeutic lifestyle changes and provides a diverse perspective to the therapeutic process. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings including community mental health, individual and group counseling, intensive outpatient programs, and in crisis work. My passion for serving adolescents stems from my many experiences working with them in the therapeutic environment, as a softball and basketball coach, and in schools. This stage lays the foundation for a life of vitality, and one of my goals is to help young people navigate the many challenges and triumphs that occur during the adolescent years.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and am constantly pursuing opportunities to grow as a clinician and as a person. Through my own journey of health and vitality, I've come to appreciate the many ways that I can challenge myself to go deeper. Outside of the office you can find me on a run, exploring nature, or at a coffee shop with a book in hand.
