ABOUT ME
I am a wife to my husband of almost 20 years. I am a mother to an amazing little girl who has some special needs but we work through those day to day. I love spending time with family either my immediate family or my extended family. I love playing cards and other board games when with family. I also love a good Saturday at home watching television and playing with my daughter. I am typically more extraverted and social however with school and balancing work and family I have noticed that currently I enjoy time at home and lazy days the most.
As individuals it is easy to push aside meeting our own needs. As a therapist I am passionate about helping you advocate for yourself and learning about what you need, this looks different for everyone. I am here to support you on this journey. I love bringing Expressive Arts into the sessions and exploring the process of how art can help individual express themselves and work towards becoming a better version of themselves. Just so everyone knows you do not have to be artistically inclined to explore expressive arts.
“You are loved just for being who you are, just for existing. You don't have to do anything to earn it.” - Ram Dass

- I am passionate about working with families who have children with special needs.
MY TREATMENT APPROACH
I rely heavily on person centered approach as I want the client to feel in control of where the conversations go. I also pull from CBT and am excited to explore DBT as I learn more.
